RR:A0 Art Series

The RR:A0 series was launched by Rabbit Revolution to experiment with new concepts in multi-sensory, immersive entertainment events. The Rabbit Revolution team spent a month transforming liminal spaces around the Boston area into one-night ephemeral experiences. These events were equal parts art gallery, dance hall, and performance art space.

For the first installment, RR:A01 NeoTokyo, the Rabbit Revolution team worked to create a future dystopian art gallery from across the world. From the custom-built, crow's nest style DJ booth to the projection-mapped visuals, the team terraformed the space with sights and sounds into something out of this world. For this event, Damien created his first light art series called "No Dance" highlighting the challenges facing dance venues around the world from prohibition of dance spaces, to the loss of venues through gentrification. The exhibit also inspired a line Rabbit Revolution merchandise.

The second installment in Rabbit Revolution's art event series, RR:A02 The Hidden Temple merged aimed to merge elements of interactive theater with a traditional party atmosphere. The event featured two rooms of thematic decor, one as the Temple of the Moon, one as the Temple of the Sun.  The Temple of the Sun featured intelligent lighting, a custom-built stage, and a 6-foot tall tribal head sculpture.  The Temple of the Moon featured a projection-mapped, geometric moon sculpture and blacklight-reactive decor.  Throughout the night, interactive performers engaged with the crowd to deepen the level of immersion.
