Photon Festoons

Photon Festoons is a light art installation that incorporates LED festoon bulbs with custom-designed electronics to create an immersive canopy of light that brings the night sky to life.  This piece incorporated 600 individually-programmed lights using 900 channels of DMX data to display computer-generated patterns that reacted to the sounds of the accompanying musical performances.  The show utilizes a combination of Lightjams and Resolume software to create the various shapes and colors in the installation.  

This installation debuted at a series of pop-up community events in Somerville's Boynton Yards district.   The installation has gone on to be featured at several special events and concerts since its debut.
